On Thursday, 7 May, Partner Rudi M. Christensen and Senior Associate Simen A. Nicolaysen gave a breakfast seminar organised by the Harstad Region Chamber of Commerce. The seminar focused on overtime and part-time employees and was aimed at employers with employees in these categories.

Recent District Court judgments have held that part-time employees are entitled to overtime pay when they work beyond their agreed working hours – even if they remain within the limits of ordinary working hours. The consequences may be significant, particularly for sectors such as healthcare, retail, transport and services.
