Simen Angell Nicolaysen

Simen Angell Nicolaysen is a Senior Associate at Advokatfirmaet Østgård. His areas of expertise include construction law, public procurement, planning and building law, and port and harbour law. He has extensive experience in negotiating commercial agreements and considerable expertise in matters relating to the public sector.

He advises both private and public-sector clients, particularly on matters at the intersection of private and public law. His background in both the private sector and as a public-sector lawyer makes him particularly well suited to advising on projects involving both commercial and public-law aspects.

Simen is also actively involved in local development projects as Chairman of the Board of the Rødskjær Group. In this role, he contributes his legal and strategic expertise to the development of a new maritime industrial area in Northern Norway. He has also advised start-ups in the healthcare and IT sectors, including a company that has since grown to become one of Norway’s largest providers of occupational health services.

Simen also regularly represents clients in disputes before the ordinary courts and in land consolidation proceedings.
